Acceptable Use Policy

What you and your users may not do with ECN People, and what we do if the rules are broken.

Last updated 10 October 2026 · Effective from 10 October 2026

1. Why this policy exists

ECN People holds sensitive data about real people — salaries, bank details, attendance, identity documents. This policy protects them, other customers and the service. It is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses an account, including the Customer's employees.

2. Content you may not store or send

  • Anything that is unlawful under Indian law, including content that is defamatory, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, or public order.
  • Material that infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right.
  • Content that harms children, or that harasses or discriminates on the basis of gender, caste, religion, ethnicity, disability or any other protected characteristic.
  • Malware, or files designed to interrupt, destroy or limit any computer resource.
  • Personal data the Customer has no lawful basis to process, or data collected by deceiving the Data Principal.

3. Things you may not do

  • Send unsolicited bulk email or messages (spam) through the CRM, email templates or notifications, or send commercial communication to people who have opted out — including in breach of TRAI's commercial communication regulations.
  • Try to access another company's workspace, another user's account, or data your role does not allow.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without our written permission (see the Security page for responsible disclosure).
  • Overload the service — for example automated scraping, or API calls beyond published limits.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.
  • Use the service to monitor employees in a way that breaks applicable labour or privacy law, such as tracking location outside working hours without notice.
  • Share sign-in credentials or let one login be used by several people.

4. What we do about a breach

Where we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may remove or disable access to the content concerned, suspend the user or the account, and — where the law requires — preserve information and report it to the authorities. Except in an emergency or where the law forbids it, we will tell the Customer's administrators first and give them a chance to fix the problem.

5. Reporting abuse

Report abuse to info@easyconnectnetwork.com, or to our Grievance Officer at info@easyconnectnetwork.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and act on them within the periods required by the Information Technology Rules.
