Terms of Service

The agreement between your company and Easy Connect Private Limited for the use of ECN People: accounts, plans, payment, data, acceptable use, liability and how either side can end it.

Last updated 10 October 2026 · Effective from 10 October 2026

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between Easy Connect Private Limited (a company incorporated in India and based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India; "Easy Connect", "we", "us") and the company, firm, trust, society, institution or individual that creates an account ("Customer", "you"). They govern access to and use of ECN People, the web console, the mobile app, the APIs and any related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Service, you accept these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, all of which are part of this agreement. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it. They need no physical or digital signature.

2. Accounts and administrators

  • The person who signs up becomes the first administrator of the Customer's workspace and may invite others. Administrators control who in the Customer's organisation can see and do what.
  • You must give accurate sign-up and billing information and keep it current. One verified work email creates one company workspace.
  • You are responsible for everything done under your accounts. Keep passwords confidential, enable two-factor authentication where offered, and tell us at once at info@easyconnectnetwork.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Employees, candidates and other people your administrators add are your users. You are responsible for having the right to add them and for telling them how their data is used.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

3. Free trial, plans and modules

  • New workspaces start on a free trial for the number of days shown at sign-up. No payment details are needed to start. When the trial ends, the workspace is paused until a plan is chosen and paid for; data is kept for the period in section 10.
  • The Service is sold as plans published on the pricing page, or as a negotiated deal recorded in writing with our sales team. A plan switches on a set of modules for the whole workspace.
  • Plans are versioned: a change to a published plan's price or contents applies to new subscriptions and renewals after the notice in section 5, never silently to a running subscription.
  • We may change, add or retire features. If we retire a module your plan includes, we will give at least 60 days' notice and, where it matters, a pro-rata credit.

4. Fees, invoices and payment

  • Fees are in Indian Rupees and are stated exclusive of GST. GST (CGST and SGST, or IGST) is added on the invoice at the rate in force. If you provide a GSTIN, the invoice carries it so you can claim input credit; you are responsible for its accuracy.
  • Per-employee plans are billed on the number of active employees in the workspace on the invoice date; a flat plan covers the number of employees stated in it, with extra employees charged at the plan's rate.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. A renewal invoice is raised seven days before the period ends.
  • Payment is due on the invoice date. You may pay online through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets) or by bank transfer, UPI or cheque recorded by our team against the invoice reference.
  • If an invoice stays unpaid, the workspace moves to past due and, after 14 days, to expired: sign-in is limited to administrators and to exporting data until the balance is paid. We will send reminders before each step.
  • Where tax must be deducted at source (TDS) under the Income-tax Act, deduct it at the applicable rate and provide the certificate; we will reconcile it against the invoice. Otherwise the full invoice amount is payable.
  • Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Changes to prices and terms

We may change prices or these Terms. For a price change we will email administrators at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal; for a change to these Terms, at least 30 days before it takes effect unless the change is required by law or is in your favour. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date is acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then and section 10 applies.

6. Your data

  • Everything you and your users enter into the Service — employee records, attendance, payroll, leads, projects, documents — is Customer Data. You own it. We claim no rights in it beyond what is needed to provide the Service.
  • We process Customer Data only on your instructions and as the Data Processing Agreement sets out. You are the Data Fiduciary for it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and are responsible for having a lawful basis, giving notices and honouring your users' rights.
  • You may export Customer Data at any time from the Service in common formats (CSV, Excel, PDF).
  • We may use data that is aggregated and cannot identify any person or company to operate, secure and improve the Service and to publish statistics.

7. Payroll, statutory and compliance outputs

The Service calculates payroll, provident fund, ESI, professional tax, TDS and similar amounts from the rates and rules we maintain and the settings and data you enter. We keep the statutory table current with reasonable care and publish changes to every workspace, and you may override it with your own rates.

The outputs are tools, not advice. You remain responsible for checking them, for filing returns and paying statutory dues to the authorities on time, and for the accuracy of the data you enter. Nothing in the Service is legal, tax or accounting advice; involve your chartered accountant or consultant where you need one.

8. Acceptable use

You must use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Acceptable Use Policy. In summary: no unlawful, infringing or harmful content; no attempts to break security or to access another company's data; no reselling without a written partner agreement; no automated abuse of the APIs; no use that violates the IT Act, 2000 or the rules under it. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, giving notice where it is reasonable to do so.

9. Our intellectual property

  • The Service, its software, design, documentation, the "ECN People" name and the "Together" mark are owned by Easy Connect or its licensors and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and other laws. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business during your subscription, and nothing more.
  • You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape or build a competing product from the Service, or remove any proprietary notice.
  • If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
  • Your company's name and logo, which you upload to brand your careers page, letters and app, remain yours. With your permission we may name you as a customer; you may withdraw that permission at any time.

10. Term, cancellation and what happens to data

  • These Terms apply from the day you create an account until the workspace is deleted.
  • You may cancel at any time from the Plan & billing page or by writing to info@easyconnectnetwork.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for what is refundable.
  • We may suspend or terminate for a material breach that is not cured within 15 days of notice, for non-payment as in section 4, for a serious breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, or if required by law.
  • After cancellation or expiry the workspace is kept read-only for 90 days so you can export your data or reactivate. After that it is deleted from live systems and from backups within a further 35 days, except for records we must keep by law (section 6 of the Privacy Policy). On written request we will confirm deletion.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive — fees owed, intellectual property, liability, governing law — survive termination.

11. Availability and support

  • We aim for the Service to be available 99.5% of the time each calendar month, excluding planned maintenance announced at least 24 hours ahead (usually at night, India time) and events outside our control.
  • Support is by email and in-app ticket on working days, 10:00 to 18:00 IST. Response targets depend on your plan and are shown on the pricing page.
  • The Service is provided over the internet and depends on your connection, devices and the attendance machines you connect; we are not responsible for those.

12. Warranties and disclaimers

We warrant that the Service will perform materially as described on our website and that we will provide it with reasonable skill and care. Except for that, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that payroll or statutory outputs will be correct for every situation without review.

13. Limitation of liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, however caused.
  • Our total liability under or in connection with this agreement in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything that cannot be limited under Indian law.
  • You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data you enter, from your breach of the DPDP Act as Data Fiduciary, or from your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.

14. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Razorpay under its own terms. If you connect a mailbox, Google Workspace sign-in, WhatsApp or an attendance machine, the provider's terms apply to that service and we are not responsible for it. Connected Apps built by Easy Connect (for example ResiSmart) have their own terms where stated.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith through their nominated contacts within 30 days of written notice. A dispute not resolved that way will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated at Jaipur, Rajasthan, in English. Subject to that, the courts at Jaipur have exclusive jurisdiction. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief from a court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

16. General

  • Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure), except for payment obligations.
  • You may not assign this agreement without our written consent; we may assign it to a successor of the ECN People business with notice to you.
  • Notices to us go to info@easyconnectnetwork.com; notices to you go to the administrators' email addresses on the account.
  • If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce is not a waiver.
  • This agreement is the entire agreement between us about the Service and replaces any earlier discussion. A negotiated deal recorded in writing prevails over the pricing page to the extent it differs.
