Check in from your phone

Location, selfie, what the error messages mean, and what happens when you have no signal.

Checking in

  1. Open the app and press the check-in ring on Today.
  2. If your office uses a geofence, allow location while using the app when asked.
  3. If a selfie is required, allow the camera and take a live photo inside the oval.
  4. A green tick confirms it. Checking out asks you to confirm first.

When it does not work

MessageWhat to do
You are outside the locationMove closer — the message gives the distance. Turn on precise location and wait for a better GPS fix.
Selfie requiredAllow the camera in your phone's settings and try again.
Too soonYou already punched a moment ago; the first one counts.
Attendance not tracked / machine onlyYour location takes attendance on a biometric machine, or not at all. Ask HR.

No signal

Your punch is saved on the phone (an amber banner shows it) and sent automatically when you are back online. The time recorded is when you pressed, corrected against the server clock.

Punches more than 72 hours old are not sent automatically, and signs of a changed clock or a fake location are passed to HR to review. Raise a regularisation instead.

  • Signing out keeps unsent punches for you; if someone else signs in on that phone, they are discarded rather than sent under their name.
