Check-in modes

ModeHow it works
GeofenceThe phone must be inside the location's radius, allowing for GPS accuracy. The distance is shown if you are outside.
Office networkCheck-in is accepted from the office's internet connection.
AnywhereAny place is accepted — for field and remote staff.
Biometric machinePunches come from a fingerprint or face machine; see Connect an attendance machine.

A location can allow several modes, and can require a live selfie with each punch.

From punches to a day

  • Each punch is assigned to a day using the shift window, so a night shift lands on the day it started.
  • A second tap within a few seconds (10 by default) is ignored and you see when the first was recorded.
  • The day becomes Present, Half day, Absent, Weekly off, Holiday, On leave, Work from home or On duty. Work from home and On duty count as present and fully paid.
  • Approved leave rewrites those days as On leave automatically.
  • Once a payroll run is approved, the days behind it are locked; corrections after that are deliberate.
