Open Invoices

Set up first

In Billing settings, enter your seller GSTIN, state, address, PAN, bank and UPI details, and the prefixes for invoices, proformas and credit notes. Numbers run in one series per company per financial year and are given at issue, not at draft.

Day to day

  • Create an invoice from an accepted quote, from a deal, or blank; a proforma converts into a tax invoice later.
  • Issue checks the GST details and names anything missing.
  • Record payment — partial payments and TDS deducted by the customer are fine; each payment gets a receipt.
  • Credit notes for returns, discounts or corrections, with the GST reason.
  • The ageing report and the Overdue tab show who owes what and for how long.

Automatic e-invoice (IRN) generation needs a GST provider account. Until then, generate the IRN on the portal and record it on the invoice.
