What the manager line does

Leave, attendance corrections and other requests go to the manager unless an approval chain says otherwise.
Managers see their team's attendance board, leave calendar and work without any extra permission.
The My team view of the dashboard appears for anyone with reports.

Employees › Hierarchy shows the tree. HR › Setup warns about people without a manager; only the person at the top should be in that list.
