The stages
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Draft | The run is created for a legal entity and month. |
| Computed | Payable days come from attendance and leave (including LOP and approved overtime); every payslip is calculated. |
| Approved | A person with Payroll approve, who did not compute it, signs it off. The attendance days behind it are locked. |
| Paid | You record that salaries went out — usually after uploading the bank file. |
| Published | Everyone gets an email and their payslip opens in My pay. |
Before approving
- Use the variance tab to see people whose pay moved more than your threshold since last month.
- Fix a single person's inputs and re-run this employee rather than the whole run.
- Hold a person's salary with a reason; release it into a later run, including a full-and-final run.
Off-cycle runs
Use the off-cycle wizard for a bonus, arrears after a back-dated revision, a correction, or a full and final settlement. Off-cycle runs carry no PT or LWF, and no ESI on bonus.
A run can be locked and unlocked by someone with Full payroll access; each lock records a reason.
